Prof. Errol D’souza New Director-In-Charge of IIM Ahmedabad; To Assume Office on Sept 2

Chairperson of Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad, Mr. Kumar Mangalam Birla announced the appointment of Professor Errol D’souza as the new Director-In-Charge of IIM Ahmedabad. He will assume charge on Saturday, September 2, 2017.

Prof. D’souza is currently working as a professor of Economics and Dean of Faculty at IIM Ahmedabad. He studied Statistics and Economics at the University of Mumbai. He was also awarded the Kashinath Triambak gold medal for bagging the first rank in his Master of Arts (MA) degree. Further, he also did a Ph.D. degree from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU).

• Visiting Professor of Indian Institute of Advanced Study (IIAS) located in Shimla
• Visiting Professor at Turin School of Development of the International Labour Organisation (ILO).
• Visiting Scholar at Columbia University
• Director of National Housing Bank
• Director of BoG of National Institute of Public Finance and Policy (still in office)
• Worked on academic committees of Indian Council for Social Science & Research and University Grants Commission (UGC).
