Professional Colleges Losing Popularity, 90% Seats Vacant
1,827 seats are vacant out of the total 1,855.
Professional colleges are losing popularity as this year the colleges were able to fill only 10 percent of the seats. 90 percent seats at six professional colleges are still vacant even after the fifth round of counselling. According to the authorities reason behind this is that students are unable to get jobs nowadays after doing a professional course. UTPU presented the data recently which showed that 1,827 seats are vacant out of the total 1,855, this academic year the colleges only managed to fill 28 seats. Nowadays students are interested in getting things done really fast that is why they are more attracted towards diploma courses.

The core reason for this is believed to be the shortage of opportunities after doing professional courses. A private job requires a highly skilled candidate which they can utilise the most, on the other hand, a government job does not have that many options to attract a lot of candidates but most students try for government jobs only.
