Patna University (PU) administration has decided to ban shoes at the exam centres & asked the UG examinees to come in slippers or sandals. The Patna University VC Mr Y C Simhadri has passed the order on 8th April 2016.
It is noteworthy that the exam centres had reported that the shoes that the students wear while writing the exams are used as safe places to hide the chits in exams.
The Vice Chancellor, along centre superintendent Mr. Upendra Kishore Sinha and thePatna University examination controller Mr R K Mandal, has asked all the examinees at the Patna Science College to open their socks & shoes before entering the exam halls. " to take the examinations only in sandals or chappals," said a source.
The Patna University administration had already banned the cellphones & other electronic gadgets inside the exam halls. The examinees had to give an undertaking that they would be expelled from the university if they were found using unfair means in the examinations. A few years ago, Mr. Simhadri had hired the services of the sniffer dogs to check the unfair means in Patna University exams.
Meanwhile, 4 examinees were expelled at the B N College centre for using unfair means in the Degree Part-I (honors) examination in science, commerce and arts.
