PU Syndicate to Discuss Execution of MoU Between Varsity's UIPS and Monash University
Panjab University's Syndicate meeting will take place on Sunday and the main agenda of the meeting is to discuss the execution of MoU between the University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (UIPS) of the university & Monash University.
Panjab University's Syndicate meeting will take place on Sunday and the main agenda of the meeting is to discuss the execution of MoU between University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (UIPS) of the university & the Brain Research Institute Sunway, which is a part of the Jeffrey Cheah School of Medicine and Health Sciences from Monash University in Malaysia.
The MoU between the two institutions will facilitate the exchange of faculties, academic staff, undertaking co-operative research activities, joint research programmes and others. The MoU will also open the avenues for new academic programmes and many other new research opportunities between the two varsities.

Professor Kanwaljeet Chopra, Chairperson of UIPS informed that the varsity has a good relation with Monash University and the MoU between the two is an outcome of the same. Many students have been part of the University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (UIPS) exchange programmes. During the same many students have spent four to six months at Monash University undertaking joint research or a Ph. D research at the university. Professor further informed that the Neuroscience department of Monash University is very famous and is internationally recognised. UIPS also organised an annual Neuroscience Schools and faculty from Monash University were a part of it.

If both the parties agree on the establishment of the MoU it will open new opportunities in the field of research and academic exchange programmes between the two varsities.
