QS Ranking 2024: IIT Bombay ranks in top 150 ranks

Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT-B) has once again proved its excellence as it has been ranked the best higher educational institute in the country in the QS Rankings 2024. The premium engineering and management college of the country has been ranked 149th globally and is also the only Indian Institute that has been listed in the Top 150 of the rankings.
Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings (WUR) is an international organisation that ranks colleges all over the world based on their performance and contribution in their domains annually. Also, the IIT Bombay is the only Indian institute that has improved in its rankings from the previous years. The other 13 institutes were placed far later than their respective QS Rankings of previous years.
IIT Bombay in Top 150 in QS Global Rankings 2024
The ranking lists have been released on the official website of QS-WUR on Tuesday and it is only IIT Bombay that managed to score better than all other Indian colleges in these rankings. The institute has been ranked 149th in the international overall rankings. According to the QS Rankings Analysts, the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay has improved a noticeable 23 positions up from the previous year's ranking of 172. The consistent growth of the institute in each sector and domain of higher education has made it the leading institute of the country in science and technology.
According to the experts, IIT Bombay will continue to improve in each global ranking in the coming time including QS Rankings as the institute is committed to providing quality education to each student who is studying there. However, the institute has still too much to do to improve its international inclusivity as it has all potential to become a globally diverse institution.
IIT Delhi is the only other institute to be ranked in the top 200 institutes globally being ranked at 197th position.
