QS World University Rankings 2022: 3 Indian Universities in Top 200
As per the new QS list 2022, IIT Bombay is the best in India. It has surpassed IISc Bangalore. In the overall rankings, 3 Indian institutes have been featured among the top 200 universities in the world list.
Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) has released the latest edition of World University Rankings 2022. According to the new list, IIT Bombay has emerged as the best in India. It has surpassed IISc Bangalore. There are a total of 8 universities from India in the list of top 400 in the world. Out of those 8 universities, seven are IITs.

IISc Bangalore has scored 100 out of 100 for the citations per faculty (CPF) metric in the analysis. IIT Bombay has been India's top-ranked institute for the fourth consecutive year at the QS World University Rankings 2022. But it has fallen four places to 177 from 172.

For the 10th continuous year, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) has been given the first spot. The University of Oxford is on the second spot for the first time since 2006. Stanford University and the University of Cambridge share the third spot.
