Due to the paper leak case of the Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers (REET) Level 2 exam, the state government on Monday said that the exam will be cancelled and will be re-conducted. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has also said that the youth should rest assured as the state government is standing by them in their interest and has increased the total vacancies from 32000 to 62000

The CM also guaranteed in his tweet that the government would ensure all those responsible for the paper leak would be identified and punished.

REET paper leak controversy

REET level-2 exam is conducted for the recruitment of teachers to teach students from Classes 6 to 8. In 2021, the exam was held in the month of September for 32,000 posts.

The entire incident came to light when Ganesh Ram Dhaka, an aspirant who came to the Acharya Shri Dharam Sagar Digambar Jain Secondary Medium School Center in Ajmer was found wearing Bluetooth-equipped slippers.

A gang of five people along with REET Jaipur District Coordinator Pradeep Parashar was arrested after a cheating racket was uncovered by Rajasthan Police. Congress leader Sachin Pilot on Tuesday said that a thorough investigation was taking place and a total of 36 people have been arrested in connection with this case.

Now a fresh exam with increased posts will be conducted by the Rajasthan government and the dates of which will be announced soon. Meanwhile, approx 25 lakh candidates had appeared in the REET Level-1 and Level-2 exams. Candidates who are planning to write this exam are advised to keep a check on the latest developments related to the exams.
