Rajasthan Schools to Introduce Preventive Healthcare Programme
Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot has ordered officials to introduce preventive healthcare programmes in various school curriculums. The initiative has been taken up under Govt’s ‘Nirogi Rajasthan’ campaign, to promote and encourage people to lead a healthy and fit lifestyle.
In a bid to improve and promote a healthy lifestyle among students in Rajasthan, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot instructed officials to introduce preventive health care in school curriculums. The initiative will be functional under the Rajasthan Govt’s “Nirogi Rajasthan” campaign. The campaign has been designed to inculcate a spirit of leading a healthy lifestyle, stated CM Gehlot during a review meeting of the campaign.
The Rajasthan Chief Minister claimed that such a programme regarding preventive healthcare encouraging people to lead a healthy and fit lifestyle, which is a first for any state government in India.
As per the directive forwarded by the Rajasthan CM, officials are to launch the preventive healthcare programme under the different school curriculums. Along with the initiation of the programme, officials are to launch a ‘Nirogi Rajasthan’ helpline number, which will be used by the people to consult experts of various health issues.

Among the different programmes launched under the ‘Nirogi Rajasthan’ campaign, a digital health survey of the people will also be conducted. Last year, a host of new government medical colleges have been set up and many more are in the works. Through the Digital Survey, the progress of the new medical colleges in the state will also be reviewed.

Introducing a preventive healthcare programme in the schools of Rajasthan, students will be guided and encouraged to follow a healthy lifestyle. Since leading a healthy lifestyle requires discipline, students will also learn how to be disciplined and civilised in the early stages of growth itself.
