Ramanujan College Begins with First Batch of Happiness Programme
To lower the burden of stress among the students, Ramanujan College has started a certificate course on Happiness. This course is open to all Delhi University students.
The Delhi University affiliated college, Ramanujan College, has launched the much-talked about 6 months Happiness course to address the rising stress issues among the students. The course is being conducted at Ramanujan College’s School of Happiness, which was introduced last year. 45 students in total have been shortlisted from the 150 applications that came their way. The students were shortlisted on the basis of a panel interview and broadly on the explanation of happiness in their words.
The curriculum of the course includes Yoga, community service, meditation and activities, which would benefit their personality, life, mental health and communication skills. The students will also be given spiritual guidance through Veda and other scriptures.
The Happiness Courses’ syllabus has been kept notably small so that it does not become a burden on the student. Those who join the happiness course will also receive attendance relaxation from their respective courses. The course also consists of outdoor activities for which, the college will charge a negligible amount of charges.
