Rasmanjari - of Nalanda Medical College Celebrated

Rasmanjari – The annual festival of Nalanda Medical College would end with the celebrations of the college’s foundation day.

The college celebrated its foundation day 2nd April 2016. The college has been observing an array of celebrations since the 3rd week of March. The college recently observed it sports fest and the cultural fest.The festival included dance and singing events. The sports fest Synapse included sports like Badminton, Cricket, Table tennis etc. The students participated in the sports event with great enthusiasm and verve. Large number of people not only from the nearby areas came but also family members of staff and students participated in the event.

The awards were given to the last year’s gold medallists in the various years of M.B.B.S and M.D.

The alumni of the Nalanda medical College were also present at the function. Many alumni were felicitated for their contribution in the medical sciences. Nalanda Medical College and Hospital came to its being in the year 1970. The campus of the college is situated near Nalanda Medical Hospital premises. The college has strength of hundred students in the M.B.BS course. NMC got recognized from Medical Council of India (MCI) in the year 1978.

The foundation day was attended by the faculty members and the students. Various cultural events and activities etc were also be held. The rewarding of the toppers of the past sessions were also done.

The foundation day started with furling of the flag by Dr (Prof) U.C Samal and it was followed by the lamp lighting. The conduction of the Alumni meet has been done by the Nalanda Medical College Alumni association.
