Exam For Regional Rural Banks to be Conducted in 13 Local Languages
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has made an official announcement that the recruitment examination for Regional Rural Banks (RRBs), will be conducted in 13 languages apart from Hindi and English.
Nirmala Sitharaman Finance Minister has announced that the Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) recruitment examination will be conducted in 13 regional languages apart from Hindi and English. The Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) exam is conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection.
The RRBs exam will be conducted in Urdu, Odia, Tamil, Konkani, Bengali, Marathi, Kannada, Assamese, Gujarati, Malayalam, Manipuri, Punjabi, and Telugu. According to the Finance Minister, this move will help to increase the employment opportunities for the local youths. It will expand the job and growth opportunities and this is the reason that the exam for direct recruitment of Official Assistant and Officer -Scale-I in RBBs will be conducted in 13 regional languages.

The demand to conduct bank exams in regional languages is growing day by day. According to the reports, aspirants are of the view that even though proficiency in a regional language is a key factor in the eligibility criteria for IBS RRB recruitment, the selection is, however, on the basis of only English and Hindi. The lack of regional languages as a factor for the final selection caused a disadvantage to many deserving students.

Regional Rural Bank (is a national-level entrance exam which is conducted in online mode for the recruitment of Grou A Officers and Group B Office Assistants.
