DU Admission 2019: B.Com Most Preferred Course
Delhi University admission process for 2019-20 academic year is underway. Among the various courses, most of the candidates registered for B.Com. As per the reports, 49,971 admissions have taken place till now and the number of cancellations stands at 8,348.
The admission process for UG courses at Delhi University for the academic session 2019-20 is underway. The BCom course has so far seen the maximum number of admissions this academic year at the University of Delhi. Zakir Husain College has witnessed the highest enrolment of students for the upcoming academic session.
According to the reports, until now 49.971 admissions have taken place and the number of cancellations stands at 8,348. At least 5,252 students have chosen B.Com, 4,897 have opted for B.Com(Honours) and 4,204 students have applied for BA (Honours) Political Science. Coming to Sports Category, most of the candidates registered for Basketball. On the other hand, many candidates registered for the dance category under ECA or Extra Curricular Activities.

Initially, students raised complaints about the website not functioning properly. However, the varsity claimed that there were no technical glitches. Due to the large traffic of students on the website for registrations, it might have become slow and irresponsive in between. The online registration for the admission to merit-based UG courses will end on June 12, 2017. Delhi University will release the first cut-off list on June 20, 2017. Usually, the cut-offs in the first list are high.
The varsity plans to release six cut-off lists this year. Depending on the number of seats vacant, it may also release the seventh cut-off list followed by the eighth cut-off list, if needed.
Most of the admission guidelines remained the same, and there were no major changes. This year, the reservation for disability quota increased from three to five per cent.
