Reserve Two Supernumerary Seats in Central Varsities for Jammu & Kashmir Students: UGC
According to the proposal, two supernumerary seats will be made available for the students of Jammu & Kashmir and they can seek admission through the centralized counseling
The University Grants Commission has asked the VCs of all the central varsities to reserve two supernumerary seats for the students of Jammu & Kashmir. This is also applicable for the affiliated colleges of central varsities.
The proposal has been made by the HRD Ministry. According to the proposal, two supernumerary seats will be made available for the students of Jammu & Kashmir and they can seek admission through the centralized counseling.
The UGC has referred and directed the central universities to reserve the seats. This has been made under Section 2(I) and 12(B) of UGC Act or Recognized by AICTE and must have at least one NBA approved course.
This decision would really benefit the students of Jammu & Kashmir who want to seek seats in central varsities.
