Retailer Association of India Signs MOU with IGNOU

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Retailer Association of India (RAI), Mumbai at the university’s headquarters in New Delhi.

“We are signing a MoU to take a lead in initiating activities in collaboration with the RAI for offering industry linked ODL Programme in the Retail Sector,” said Prof. Nageshwar Rao, Vice-Chancellor, IGNOU. The Programme focuses on the skill development and employment generation, Prof. Rao added addressing the MoU signing-in ceremony with RAI.

“This Programme is offered in the modular approach. On completion of Ist Year, you get a Diploma in Retailing (DIR). On completion of IInd Year you get an Advanced Diploma in Retailing (ADIR), on completion of IIIrd year, you get a BBA degree. The programme is offered once, in July every year. There’s three month internship in the Ist year said Prof. S.Srilatha, Director, School of Management

The MoU was signed by Sri Raj Gopalan, CEO, RAI and Mr Sudhir Budakoti, Registrar (Administration), IGNOU.
