RGNAU Signs MoU with Rolls-Royce to Meet Skill Requirements of Aviation Industry

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between Rajiv Gandhi National Aviation University (RGNAU) and Rolls-Royce for the development of skills of its faculty members and students to meet the demands of the future aviation industry. Rolls-Royce is a global integrated propulsion and power solutions provider.
The MoU has been signed between the Nalin Kumar, Vice Chancellor of RGNAU and Kishore Jayaram, President, Rolls-Roye, India and South Asia at Visitor’s Conference at Rashtrapati Bhawan. It was signed in the presence of Shri Pranab Mukherjee, President of India.

On this occasion, Nalin Kumar revealed that the collaboration would enable the teachers and students to develop essential skills which are necessary for the aviation industry, with the help of global technical experts.
The MoU will also help RGNAU to develop curricula. Rolls-Royce will assist the university in bringing down international experts to deliver the guest lectures at the varsity. The main objective of the company is to help develop the maturity of the university. It will also offer internships to the selected students at Rolls-Royce across the country.

Mr. Jayaram expressed that it is their privilege to collaborate with RGNAU for developing the skills and improving the varsity. The collaboration will also help the university in developing an aerospace ecosystem.
He further added that the aviation industry is offering around eight million jobs and the industry needs skilled and talented professionals for the same. For this purpose, Rolls-Royce will provide essential and necessary skills to the students to make them industry fit.
