RRB Group D 2022 Result: The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) will be announcing the RRB Group D 2022 Result anytime soon on the official regional website of RRB. The candidates will be shortlisted for various stages based on the normalization process. The RRB Group D Result 2022 will be announced using the percentage method.  The normalization scheme has been adopted by the exam authorities for shortlisting the aspirants from CBT to PET (as applicable) and for document verification.RRB Group D exam was held in different sessions therefore, there will be variations in the difficulty level in each shift. To equalize the difficulty level across each session normalization process is used. 

RRB Group D 2022 Result: Normalisation Process

The RRB Group D 2022 normalization process is scientific in nature. Scores of candidates are normalized based on their performance in a particular shift as well as other shifts. It is not the process of adding grace marks but the calculation of the raw score of the candidate. 

Percentile Score = Number of candidates who appeared in the ‘Shift’ with raw score equal to or less than the candidate/The total number of the candidates who appeared in the ’Shift’ X 1000

The process of normalization of RRB Group D 2022 involves: 

  • 1 mark for each correct answer. 
  • ⅓ marks will be deducted for each incorrect attempt.
  • Candidates must add scores of all correct answers.
  • Now add scores for incorrect answers.
  • The scores can be obtained by deducting the correct answers from the incorrect answers.

Candidates can find the computation of raw scores below:

  • Total Questions: 100
  • Number of Questions (wrong, not attempted, multiple options correct): 2
  • Number of Questions Attempted: 60
  • Questions Correctly Answered: 54
  • Wrongly Answered: 6
  • Positive Marks: 54
  • Negative Marks: 2
  • Net  Marks Obtained: 54-2=52
  • Score (Out of 100) = (52/98)*100= 53.06
  • Raw Scores= 53.06
