S-VYASA University Confers Degrees to 216 Yoga Students
On this occasion, a total number of 216 yoga students were conferred with degrees. On the other hand, a total number of five students received gold medals for their exceptional performance.
Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samasthana popularly called as S-VYASA University celebrated its convocation day in a grand way last week. On this occasion, a total number of 216 yoga students were conferred with degrees. On the other hand, a total number of five students received gold medals for their exceptional performance.
S-VYASA University organises its convocation every year on the occasion of National Youth Day and birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda on January 12. This year also, the varsity celebrated its 14th convocation ceremony. On this occasion, a total number of nine students received consolation medals and four students bagged endowment prizes.

Prakash Javadekar, HRD minister, graced the convocation ceremony and delivered the convocation address. Chairman of Karnataka Knowledge Commission and former Director of ISRO Dr. K Kasturiranga was the chief guest of the ceremony. Minister of Finance for the state Arjun Ram Meghwalji was the guest of honour.

Conferring 216 degrees in the field of Yoga is an exceptional achievement in itself. It clearly indicates that the varsity is playing a significant role in encouraging the students to take up Yoga courses and preaching the importance of Yoga. Most of the doctors say that performing Yoga regularly is good for health particularly for Asthma patients. Various health problems and diseases can be avoided by performing Yoga.
Performing Yoga is good for students too. It builds confidence among the students which enables them to take examinations easily and boosts their concentration power.
