SBI PO Prelims 2017 Results to be Declared on May 17

The State Bank of India is likely to announce the results of SBI PO preliminary examination on May 17, 2017. SBI will announce the results on its official website. The SBI PO preliminary examination took place in an online mode on April 29 & April 30, 2017, and May 6 & May 7, 2017. The candidates who qualify in the SBI PO preliminary examination will have to appear in the next stage of the selection process i.e. SBI PO mains examination.

There is a lot of competition for the SBI PO examination. Usually, the number of candidates who qualify for the mains examination is 20 times the number of vacancies notified by the bank.

SBI PO online preliminary examination carried a total of 200 marks. All the questions were objective in nature. Later, the descriptive examination took place that was of 50 marks. The applicants need to qualify in both in order to clear the examination and be selected. The duration of the objective examination was three hours. Separate timing was given for each section in the objective examination.

The descriptive examination duration was 30 minutes. The candidates were required to write a letter or essay on the given topic in the English language. The main objective of the descriptive examination was to test the English language skills of the candidates.

SBI PO mains examination will take place on June 4, 2017, and the results for the same will be out on June 19, 2017. The candidates who qualify in SBI PO mains examination will further have to appear for Group Exercise and Interview. The final stage of the selection process will commence from July 10, 2017.
