<p>Ten meritorious students from different institutes of repute across the country owned the Avery Dennison Foundation’s 4th ‘Spirit of Invention’ (InvEnt) scholarship awards amounting INR 9 Lakhs at a function held in Gurgaon.
Of the ten meritorious students from reputed institutes who won the awards, four were from BITS Pilani, two were from M. S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bangalore and Vidhyarthi Griha’s College of Engineering Pune each. The rest of the two were won by MIT Manipal and St. Stephen College University Delhi.

We hope that by encouraging the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship among students we can help them pursue their dream careers. The Spirit of Invention scholarship program is open to all first-year Indian national students who demonstrate outstanding academic performance with a strong interest in innovation capabilities in engineering, science and technology.
“The InvEnt Scholarship Program was established in order to develop young talent in innovation and technology. Besides, India Avery Foundation is also offering the same scholarship to students in China which was launched in 2008,” said Anil Sharma, Managing Director Avery Dimension Material Group, South Asia and Sub- Saharan Africa.
Winning students were chosen through a merit-based, rigorous two-stage selection process, first at the college level and then the second at an independent selection committee level. The program recognized a number of forward-looking innovations.
