Seat Allotment Result Round Two Announced by JoSAA 2016

In order to check the JoSAA 2016 round 2 seat allotment, candidates need to log in by filling in their roll number and password for JEE Main 2016.
The status of all vacant seats after round 1 has also been announced by JoSAA 2016. About 78 seats are still unfilled across five NITs (home state quota).
The seat allotment has been scheduled for July 7 to July 9 and the candidates, who are allotted seats first time in round 2 and those who have to do dual reporting, must report at the respective reporting centres and accept the seats.
Fee Details:
- Seat Acceptance Fee: Rs.45,000 (GEN, OBC-NCL or foreign national)
- Seat Acceptance Fee: Rs.20,000 (SC, ST, GEN-PwD, OBC-NCL-PwD, SC-PwD or ST-PwD)
During the time of the seat allocation process, a candidate will be allowed to ‘Freeze’, ‘Slide’ or ‘Float’ the preferred academic programme.
As many as 92 institutions are participating in the counselling and seat allotment sessions conducted by JoSAA which was established in the year 2015 with the sole motive to reduce the number of vacant seats in engineering colleges. The seat allocation result for round two has been declared by the Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) and Joint Admission Board (JAB) for 22 IITs, ISM Dhanbad, 31 NITs, 20 IIITs and 18 GFTIs.
To get admissions to over 30,000 seats,there will be four rounds of seat allocation conducted by JoSAA 2016. The following details have been announced by the seat allocation authority:
