Selection Procedure of PGP in Rural Management (PRM 2017-19):
For Indian nationals:
- It is mandatory for a candidate to appear in CAT 2016 or XAT 2017 to be eligible for admission into PRM 2017-19.
- As the second step, aspirants are required to appear for a test named 'Issues of Social Concern' (Admission Test known as ISC) which is scheduled to be conducted on Sunday, February 12, 2017.
- Those appearing for final year exams can also apply. (Criteria should be fulfilled latest by June 12, 2017).
- After the Admission Test, Group Activity (GA) and Personal Interviews (PI) are also conducted.
For Foreign Nationals/ Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries/ Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/ and Sons & Daughters of Non-Resident Indians (NRIs):
- Can apply with GMAT or GRE scores (taken on or after Jan 2012) as well as CAT 2016 or XAT 2017 scores.
- Shortlisted candidates will be required to appear for a telephonic interview.
Selection Procedure for Fellow Programme in Rural Management (FPRM 2017):
- Scores of XAT 2017 or CAT 2016 will be taken into consideration.
- As the second step, aspirants are required to appear for a test named 'Issues of Social Concern' (Admission Test known as ISC) which is scheduled to be conducted on Sunday, February 12, 2017.
- Those appearing for final year exams can also apply. (Criteria should be fulfilled latest by June 12, 2017).
- After Admission Test, Interviews and Essay Presentations are also conducted.
- Those who have a PGDRM degree from IRMA are exempted from the admissions test provided they have a valid UGC JRF score in a relevant discipline such as economics, management, sociology, social work, commerce, psychology etc. Such candidates are called for an interview directly.
- Please note that UGC JRF is compulsory and only NET is insufficient for getting an exemption from the Admissions Test.
Counselling Process after IRMA:
There are various steps of IRMA Counselling, described as follows:
- Register for counselling process. If a candidate fails to register for the same, he/she is not permitted to participate in the counselling procedure.
- Fill your preferred choice and lock it. This facility is only available for a short period of time, hence priority will need to given. No changes are allowed once the choices are filled and locked.
- Seats are allotted based on the ranks in the merit list and the candidate's overall performance along with their preferred choices. Once a seat is allotted, you will have to get the documents verified and deposit the required fees.
