Shivaji University organised an international workshop on 13th April to discuss the foreign fellowship opportunities.
Mr. Sachin Nikarge-
Program Manager at the United States-India Educational Foundation, Mumbai, will orient the participants to various grants managed by the USIEF, including the Fulbright Grant, Fulbright-Nehru, Fulbright-Kalam and Non-Fulbright Grants.
Dr. Medha Nanivadekar-
A Fulbright Scholar in 2004-2005; and an awardee of four prestigious international awards including the Fellowship of the National Endowment for Democracy in Washington DC, will chair the event.
- Individual queries about writing fellowship proposals will be addressed in the workshop.

- To ensure adequate interaction, the first forty candidates to register will be admitted to the workshop. Each applicant will be informed about confirmation of registration or otherwise on or before 12th April 2016.
About Shivaji University: Shivaji University, established in 1962, is named after the Great Maratha Warrior and founder of the Maratha empire Chhatrapati Shivaji. It was inaugurated on 18th November, 1962 by Dr. Radhakrishnan, the then President of India. One of the major objectives behind foundation of this University was to cater to the regional needs of South Maharashtra. The jurisdiction of the University is spread over three districts viz. Kolhapur, Sangli and Satara with strength of about 3,00,000 students studying in 271 affiliated colleges and recognised institutes. This region of Maharashtra boasts of rich and varied socio-cultural heritage.
