Apart from these, the university will also start some other “new-age tech” courses.
The Shri Vishwakarma Skill University, located in Sector 44 in Gurugram, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the startup innovation hub of the Haryana government. The MoU was signed by both the parties last week at the campus of Haryana State Electronics Development Corporation Limited (HARTRON) in Udyog Vihar for this initiative.
Officials and individuals who know about this alliance have told that experts and professionals from different industries and sectors in Gurugram will be teaching these courses to the students of Shri Vishwakarma Skill University in the coming months. Credits will be given to students who undertake these internships. These credits will help them in getting awarded with a certificate. At present, Shri Vishwakarma Skill University offers vocational training to students in 31 different courses which include banking, entrepreneurship, folk art, and agriculture, among others.
The Head of HARTRON Multiskill Development Centre, Rajive Gulati, said that currently there is a gap between the demands of the market and what is taught at universities. A major part of modern technology still remains elusive for people who have limited financial means. The programmes that will be offered by Shri Vishwakarma Skill University in collaboration with HARTRON have the aim of bridging the gap.
