Sisodia Pitches for 1.25 lakh students for Higher Studies

The deputy chief minister of Delhi, Mr. Sisodia requested the vice-chancellor of Delhi University to work out a detailed plan for the arrangement for admissions of 1.25 lakh students who have passed Class 12. These students were unable to get a seat for higher studies in any of the university or colleges of Delhi. He asserted that the government of Delhi would give all support and resource for the issue.

He attended the inauguration of a new building of Deen Dayal Upadhaya College in Sector 4 of Dwarka. There he addressed the students and expressed his concern over the students who did not manage to get admissions in any of the higher educational institutions.He also tweeted congratulations to the PWd engineers for the new college building.

This year, the DU Cut-offs were high and most of them did not get admissions in desired courses. Some of the colleges even closed admissions after the third cut-offs. Previously, Mr. Sisodia wrote to HRD Ministry regarding five percent relaxation for the Delhi Students at government funded universities. He also requested the former HRD Minister, Smriti Irani to conduct separate entrance test for admissions into Delhi University.
