Six engineering colleges of Telangana have been granted affiliation by JNTU, Hyderabad. Initially, the JNTUH has cancelled the affiliation to the colleges which do not have basic facilities and proper labs according to the norms of JNTUH. Around 43 colleges in Telangana have been cancelled the affiliation as they did not follow the University norms.
Six engineering colleges have been granted affiliation after checking the labs and basic facilities in the college. The University has also allotted the fee structure for these colleges after he through inspection of the colleges. the following colleges have been granted affiliation:-
- KSRR Malla Reddy Engineering College (Boys & Girls Campuses)
- NRI College
- Gandhi Academy, Kodada
- Sri Sai College
- Vignan Jyothi College and
- BR Engineering College.
The seats in these colleges will be filled based on the second phase of counselling which will be conducted this week. So far 68,000 seats have been filled in various engineering colleges. This year, the engineering admissions have been declined as most of the parents are interested in joining their children in IITs and NITs. The colleges with highest placement percentage have got 100 percent admissions.
