Skill Development Centre Inaugurated at Andhra University
The primary objective being launching skill development centre is to enhance technical as well as communication skills among the students and make them industry fit.
Andhra University’s College of Arts has got a new skill development centre. The inaugural session of skill development centre took place on February 8, 2017. Prof. Nageswara Rao, Vice-Chancellor of Andhra University, inaugurated the skill development centre and addressed the students.

He indicated that the skill development centre would help the students develop their skills - both communication and technical. The training will increase the employability chances of the students, and they need not struggle for getting jobs. He further added that the centre would conduct a special soft skills and communication skills development programme. The programme will begin on February 13, 2017, and he further advised the students to utilise the opportunity.

Prof. V. Uma Maheswara Rao, Registrar of Andhra University, cited that the varsity is always committed to place students in better jobs. The varsity will provide technical help for the skill development centre.
On this occasion, the Vice-Chancellor of the university handed over the appointment letters to 23 students who were selected for a campus placement by Sri Prakash Group of Institutions. All these students are from the science department of the varsity. He congratulated the students and wished for their bright future.
