SPPU Introduces Post-Doctoral Fellowship for Ph.D. Holders
Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) has started a post-doctoral fellowship programme for Ph.D degree holders. As per SPPU officials, this will help the Ph.D degree holders to continue their research without any hindrance.
The Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) has introduced a post-doctoral fellowship programme. The programme is for the candidates who have completed their Ph.D. degrees in the field of arts and humanities, science, technology, commerce and languages. This will help the researchers to continue their research work without any hindrance once they have completed their Ph.Ds.
The post-doctoral research fellowship programme is an important avenue for candidates who wish to enhance their skill sets and to have a successful academic career. Apart from this, it also creates independent researchers under the supervision of an accomplished mentor.

Trained post-doctoral fellows are considered as potential faculty for higher education institutes across the country because of their academic and professional knowledge.
According to SPPU officials, the postdoctoral fellowship program will enhance the quality of research at the university and generate trained researchers who will take up teaching careers.

SPPU Post- Doctoral Fellowship Eligibility Criteria:
- Candidates who have Ph.D. degrees and are domicile residents of Maharashtra can apply for the same.
- Candidates should be below 32 years of age. However, there is an age relaxation of five years for reserved category candidates, women and for differently-abled candidates.
