SRCC to Design Jammu University's Curriculum
The teachers of SRCC, New Delhi will be visiting Jammu to check how conflict has affected students. They will also take an active part in designing the Commerce and Economics curriculum at Jammu University.
Some courses of Jammu University will be designed with the help of Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) of Delhi University. The college will also look into the matter if the conflict situation in the region is the reason for any mental pressure of the students that can impact their academics.
Simrit Kaur, the Principal of Shri Ram College of Commerce told the Press Trust of India (PTI) that the SRCC has signed a memorandum of Understanding with Jammu University and it has been decided that the teachers from SRCC will visit the region shortly with the mission to analyse the potential and skills of the students in that region.
SRCC Principal Prof. Kaur has informed that the teachers from Shri Ram College of Commerce will be visiting a women's college in Jammu shortly not only to design their curriculum but also to check if they are able to conduct competitive examinations outside of the region or not.
In the conflict-driven place of Jammu, Prof. Kaur has made clear that the teachers will also see the psychological structure of the students in conflict and how their mindset is impacted by the environmental situation of the valley. The teachers will conduct some tests for the students not to check their performance in their curriculum but also skills, general knowledge, and personality traits.

SRCC college faculties will be interacting with more than 725 women of Under-graduate and Post-graduate courses in Jammu University. SRCC will be designing the curriculum of Commerce and Economics courses in the university courses by keeping the student needs in mind.
Prof. Kaur has ensured that the curriculum will be designed only after talking to students and assessing their needs and desires.
