SRM University Amaravati Campus to be Operational from July 2017
SRM University, Andhra Pradesh will offer various courses in Liberal Arts, Pure Sciences, Medical Sciences, Law, Management and Engineering.
Mr. N. Chandrababu Naidu, Honourable Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh has unveiled the master plan for the upcoming campus of SRM University in Amaravati, the new capital of Andhra Pradesh. According to sources, SRM University at Amaravati will be functional from July 2017.
Dr. P. Satyanarayanan, President of SRM University, Amaravati explained that SRM University has been playing a significant role in embracing the new method of learning. The varsity lays more emphasis on practical and application oriented learning through lab courses and projects. The main objective of the varsity is to create world class environment for the students.

He further explained that Shapoorji Pallonji Group will construct the varsity and Perkins + Will, an international architecture firm, conceptualised the design of the university. Currently, SRM University, Amaravati is making partnerships with renowned international universities from Singapore, United Kingdom (UK) and United States (US).
Dr. P. Satyanarayanan hoped that the collaboration with international universities will enable the SRM University to focus on applied and pure research in areas of space technology, renewable energy, Internet of Things (IoT), nanotechnologies, blue economy and much more.

Dr. Narayana Rao, Pro Vice-chancellor of SRM University, Amaravati explained that emphasising more on research would play a significant role in the development of nation and state. The main aim of the university is to figure out solutions for various problems that are prevalent in today’s world.
