St. Stephen Launches Special Centre for Public Policies Courses
Special Centres were launched by St. Stephen’s College on January 11, 2020, for various advanced and certification level courses in Public Policies. The SCAL started off with a certification course in Public Policies and International Relations (PPIR).
On January 11, 2020, St. Stephen’s College of Delhi University launched several special centres to offer certificate ad advanced level courses in Public Policies and International Relations (PPIR). As confirmed by an official, the centre, officially known as the St Stephen’s Centre for Advanced Learning (SCAL), started off with a certification course in Public Policies and International Relations (PPIR) which will be conducted for six weeks within the campus.
The PPIR certification course will consist of courses such as policy formation, international relations, development and implementation, policy economics, international security and diplomacy in its curriculum among others. The applicants for the first batch will consist of entry to mid-level professionals from the field of banking, consultancy, development, NGOs, healthcare and politics.
As per the St. Stephen officials, the alumni resource will include various intellectual resources having a vast experience in the course field including corporate boardrooms, government ministries and departments. The intellectual alumni resource will consist of various bureaucrats, former as well as current brand ambassadors, and some of the leaders from the respective fields. As per the list prepared for the St Stephen’s Centre for Advanced Learning (SCAL), the resources will include Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, NITI Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant and diplomat and MP Mani Shanker Aiyer among others.
The inauguration ceremony for the St Stephen’s Centre for Advanced Learning (SCAL) was organised in the campus on Saturday during which, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor delivered the inauguration lecture for SCAL.
