Startup Hasura and IIT Madras jointly to organise its second edition of Introduction to Modern Application Development (IMAD) on January 23, 2017 where details of App Development will be taught. Knowing the art of building an app is one of the most sought-after skills in today's digital age from the different perspectives. This technology is in demand in the emplyment market & promises innumerable possibilities and career growth.

IIT Madras and Hasura will bring together a combination of theory as well as practice to convey the principles of building applications on the cloud. After the completion of the 8- week course, the participant will know about the internet and the fundamentals of development of app.
In the last session of IMAD, there were more than 57,000 registrations for the course. This one of the largest registrations for MOOC in India. With the course content, there will be 20 minutes course videos and it can be watched online at any time. The course will have the graded assignments as well as final tests. The course topper will get an internship opportunity with the best in the undustry. The last edition saw the presence of several leading companies offering interviews to the participants that completed the course. These companies were:
- Mastercard
- Swiggy
- HackerEarth
- Furlenco
After completion of the final exam, students will be eligible for a certificate from IIT Madras. Those students, after completion of the course, will get the opportunity to build apps using Hasura.

Co-founder of Hasura, Tanmai Gopal said that in this new space of application/ web development, everyone is self-taught as the technical underpinnings are not taught anywhere. He further added that through this initiative, they are trying to address this gap.
