The Maharashtra State Education Minister Mr.Vinod Tawde will be in the city on Monday for the ground breaking ceremony of the Shivaji Universitys museum complex and for the inaugural function of the lecture under the Global Initiative of Academic Networks (GIAN) scheme.
"The minister has agreed to attend the programme and a confirmation from his department has been sought regarding it." I added that the ground-breaking ceremony for the proposed museum complex will be done by the minister."

For the lecture under the GIAN scheme, Dr Venkatesh Merwade, from Purdue University in USA will be present and he will be delivering the lecture on the Geographic Information system for water resources management. Merwade, an alumnus of the SUK has already arrived in the city and is prepared for the inaugural function of GIAN, he said.
The event will be attended by Cooperation Minister Chandrakantdada Patil, Maharashtra State. Mr.S.S Panhalkar, Mr.R.K.Kamant, Mr.P.D.Raut, Dr.D.R.Mane, Dr.V.N.Shinde are doing Event Plan.
