<p>A fraud case against Delhi-based Indian Institute of Planning and Management (IIPM) has recently filed by a Management student in Vijay Nagar police station. The complaint was registered by a student who had taken admission in integrated BBA-MBA course at its city branch in 2011.
The victim, Sumi Bhattacharya, an ex-student complained that the institute charged hefty fees for integrated BBA-MBA course. The girl completed her BBA course in 2014 but the college closed before she could do her MBA. Later, the institute failed to even provide her a BBA course degree.
"When I took admission, it was Karnataka University. However, in 2012, the university was changed to Mahatma Gandhi University, Meghalaya. The institute provided mark sheet of only four semesters," stated the aggrieved student in her complaint.
However, the harassment did not stop here. When she contacted institute's Delhi branch, she was told that remaining course can be completed in the national capital. The TOI report stated.
"In June 2015, the Delhi branch of institute demanded Rs 8 lakh for providing BBA mark sheet. But, I had already paid Rs 7 lakh as fees. I ended up wasting one year and I don't even have a BBA mark sheet. Even though I had paid fees for BBA-MBA course, the college is now asking me to come to Delhi for the MBA programme and also demanding fees for the BBA mark sheet," Bhattacharya stated in her written complaint.
