The Ministry of Human Resources Development is planning to come up with a centralised entrance examination for all the central universities. Delhi University will also be part of the list of central universities which will have to accept this examination. This exam will help students take admission in a more relaxed manner and it will get rid of those unrealistic cutoffs like 100 percent. An entrance examination has become the need of the moment as this year 129 students from Tamil Nadu bagged seats in the famous SRCC of the Delhi University and 33 out of the total were from the same school. A lot of complaints were received related to the leniency that state boards do while checking answer sheets. The only drawback of this idea is that it will increase the number of exams that a student has to give to get an admission in college.
