Students of SDMS, Vijayawada Pay Homage to Uri Martyrs
The students observed three minutes silence in memory of those who were killed in the terrorist attack on the Army base.
The students of Sri Durga Malleswara Siddhartha Mahila Kalasala, Vijayawada carried out a rally in the city on September 20, 2016, condemning the Uri terror attack. During the rally, they raised slogans against terrorism and secessionism which posed a great threat to the unity and integrity of the nation. The rally was organised by the volunteers of NSS, members of the Student Union and NCC Unit (girls).

Earlier, the students observed three minutes silence in memory of those who were killed in the terrorist attack on Army base. The students paid homage to the soldiers. One of the students said that the Indian Army has to give a befitting reply to these savage attacks. Convenor of Student Union, Padmaja Devi said that this heart-wrenching incident deeply saddened the country. She mentioned that incidents like this would deplete the unity and integrity of the country.

College Principal, Ms. Vijayalakshmi and faculty members took part in the rally and paid their tribute to the soldiers.
