The parents have been requesting the Council to consider their plea and give relief to the children with learning disabilities.

Dr. Harish Shetty, a Psychiatrist, wrote a letter to CISCE seeking relief on the issue. He demanded that CISCE affiliated schools must be educated and screened in this regard and indicated that the council needs to give an immediate response to the grievances of parents. He further added that it is the responsibility of the schools to utilize provisions for children with any disabilities.

He stressed that the School Inspectors must ensure that the students can choose any two subjects among the ten subjects prescribed by CISCE in 'Group 2'.
