Super 30’s Founder Invited by MIT Boston for Teaching

Anand Kumar, founder of Super 30 received an invitation from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), asking him to be a part of their open online initiative for teaching mathematics.
The offer was provided to Kumar by EdX, a massive open online course (MOOC) provider. It is a collaborative initiative of MIT and Harvard University, which now want Anand to be a part of their programme.
Edx conducts a range of online university-level courses in various disciplines for students across the world in several languages such as English, Mandarin, French and Spanish. Some of the courses provided by Edx are also free of cost. Various research programmes are also a part of Edx online initiative.
Anant Agarwal, Professor, MIT, wrote Anand Kumar and emphasised how his Super 30 programme has a lot in common with Edx. He also proposed to Anand that if the two bring their resources together then a lot more students will get educational aid. The professor also expressed his interest in taking Anand’s Super 30 content to their platform.

“Edx is trying to accomplish goals similar to yours by providing opportunity and levelling the educational playing field for millions of students in India and around the world,” added Anant Agarwal.
Kumar said it was an honour that institutions like MIT were taking note of his initiative.
Anand Kumar expressed his awe and said that it is an honour that talks of his work and initiative have reached institutions like MIT. He said that it is a great effort that universities like these are working for uplifting underprivileged students across the globe by providing quality content that can be helpful in education.
Super 30 was started by Anand in an attempt to help the underprivileged students and guide them in their preparation for IIT JEE free of cost.
Ever since its initiation in 2002, the programme has helped over 325 students in clearing IIT. Super 30 has been doing an excellent job since past 14 years. 28 out of 30 students from Super 30 cleared JEE Advanced in 2016.
