Supreme Court Decision on NEET PG 2022 Postponement:SC Agress to Hear Plea Seeking Exam Postponement
AIMSA has filed a petition in Supreme Court seeking postponement of the NEET PG 2022 exam date. The SC will take up hearing on May 13
A petition has been filed in Supreme Court by the All India Medical Students Association (AIMSA) to postpone NEET PG 2022 exam scheduled to be conducted on May 21. Through the petition, AIMSA indicated that the ongoing NEET PG counselling 2021 is clashing with the exam date. The AIQ counselling of NEET PG 2022 concluded on May 3, and the state-level admission process for PG medical courses is still underway in some states. The petition has been filed by Advocate Sandeep S Tiwari on behalf of AIMSA.

The Supreme Court of India will hear the petition on May 13. While the NEET PG admit card 2022 is scheduled to be released on May 16, a hearing on this matter is being taken up before that. However, it is not sure whether the apex court will entertain such a plea.
Previously, the SC had dismissed the petition seeking an extension of the internship deadline of June 31. Due to such a decision, almost 5,000 interns have lost the eligibility to appear for NEET PG 2022. NEET PG 2021 counselling was also delayed multiple times due to the issue of EWS-OBC reservation in AIQ.
