Tamil Nadu Fisheries University Announces MBA in Fisheries Programme

TNFU or Tamil Nadu Fisheries University has announced the launch of fisheries programme in MBA. The new programme announced by the varsity has been named as MBA-Fisheries Enterprises Management. The main objective of MBA Fisheries programme is to provide a skilled workforce to meet the requirements of the industry.
Vice Chancellor of TNFU pointed that the varsity has been successful in providing a skilled workforce for fisheries, agriculture and dairy industries/ sectors. However, management of fisheries enterprise is still being done by the people from outside fisheries studies. With an objective to bridge this gap, Tamil Nadu Fisheries University has decided to launch a management programme in fisheries.

The MBA programme in Fisheries Enterprise Management provides job opportunities in various sectors including: -
- Deep sea fishing sector
- Fishing gear and craft manufacturing units
- Ornamental fish culture
- Organised sea food retailing
- Seafood restaurant and eateries
- Seafood processing and export
- Fish feed manufacturing
- Aqua shops
- Aqua clinics
- Hatchery
- Aqua farming
- Commercial fisheries undertaken by government and laboratory services

TNFU’s Business School will offer the MBA course in Fisheries Enterprise Management. Enrolled students will be accommodated in the recently constructed facility at the varsity. TNFU is a state-funded university which offers a varied range of courses including B.Tech in Biotechnology, M.Sc, B.Sc and Ph.D.
