Tamil Nadu Government Confirms New Fee Structure for B.Ed/M.Ed
The candidates have to pay a fees of Rs. 79,000 for two years of B.Ed course.
The Government of Tamil Nadu has confirmed a new fee structure for B.Ed/M.Ed courses in private colleges. Compared to the fee structure of last year, there is a slight increase in the course fee beginning from the current academic year. The new fee structure has been confirmed as per the recommendations of Justice Balasubramaniam Committee.

New Fees Structure:-
- The course fees for two-year B.Ed course is Rs. 37,500/annum
- The students who have joined four-year integrated B.A – B.Ed course have to pay Rs. 22,500/annum
- The course fees for four-year integrated B.Sc – B.Ed course is Rs. 25,000/annum
- The students who have joined M.Ed course have to pay Rs. 38,000/annum
This year, the duration of B.Ed course has been extended to two years. The candidates have to pay a sum of Rs. 79,000 for two years of B.Ed course. The seat allotment was concluded in the first week of September. Almost 35% of seats have been filled in the first phase of counselling. The admission counselling was conducted by Lady Willingdon Education Department Institute. The second phase of seat allotment concluded on September 16, 2016.
This year, the competition for admissions to the B.Ed course is high. The authorities received 3,736 applications for 1,777 vacant seats.
