Many candidates for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test or NEET who hail from the state of Tamil Nadu used to find it difficult as in most of the cases, the seats for NEET examination for the TN candidates used to get allocated in other states. Reaching to the centres outside the state proved to be highly inconvenient for some NEET candidates in 2018.

The good news is that this year, the NEET authority has allocated Tamil Nadu student’s examination centres in the state for 2019 NEET examinations. The news made 1.4 lakh of 2019 TN NEET aspirants very happy after the NEET 2019 admit cards were uploaded on the website on 15th April 2019.

In 2018, around 13,000 NEET students who belonged from the southernmost state of Tamil Nadu were allocated centres in Kerala and also in the far northern states such as Rajasthan and Haryana which resulted in chaos. Students faced immense difficulties to reach their examination centres and many students could not even attempt the examination.

The school examination officials have confirmed that no complaints from the Tamil Nadu NEET candidates have been received so far regarding the examination location allocation.

More than 19,000 candidates from government and government-aided schools have been registered for the 2019 NEET examination, the Tamil Nadu NEET candidates also expressed their happiness when they saw all the examination centres have been allocated inside the state. In 2019, around 1.7 lakh Tamil Nadu candidates attempted NEET examination and surprisingly, only 210 examination centres were there in the state, this year, the number of examination centres for NEET 2019 has been increased to 550.
