TAPMI Manipal Reduces PGDM Intake

T.A. Pai Management Institute, located in Manipal has taken a decision to minimise the intake of its PGDM programme. So far, the intake of Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) had been 420, and the institute has decided to reduce the intake to 300. TAPMI is the first private B-School in India, which has decided to reduce the intake of the PGDM programme.
Stating reasons for the reduction of TAPMI PGDM programme, Director of the institute, Professor Madhu Veeraraghavan revealed that the decision has been taken after holding the consultations with senior management. The major reason for reducing the intake is PGDM programme with a new vision. The existing PGDM curriculum will be revamped, and the new curriculum will be implemented for the same. The revamped PGDM course will focus on “Leadership through Value Creation,” he explained.

Adding further, Professor Madhu Veeraraghavan mentioned that the new structure of PGDM course gives more emphasis to the development of leadership capabilities among the students. The new design of PGDM course involves Young Leadership Programme, Cross-Flexible Learning, and Global Exposure, he concluded.
TAPMI Admissions Chairman, Professor Aditya Jadav informed that the PGDM selection process of TAPMI is being revised, and more emphasis will be given to self-assessment and achievement orientation. The revised selection process of TAPMI involves a critical incident approach to select eligible and suitable candidates, he explained.

TAPMI has commenced the online application process for PGDM programme. January 18, 2019, is the last date to register for TAPMI PGDM programme.
