Techno-Management Fest (Kshitij) of IIT-Kgp to be Launched Soon
Kshitij, the techno-management fest of IIT Kharagpur, is back again with a pre-event workshop on Robotics being organized on 13th November 2017
Kshitij-the techno-management fest of IIT Kharagpur, which is one of the best festivals of Asia, is back again with a pre-event workshop on Robotics, being organized on 13th November 2017 at the Vidyamandir Auditorium in Kolkata.
General Secretary, Technology Students' Gymkhana, Harsh Bharadwaj said that the workshop is mentored by IIT Kharagpur students. It would offer an open platform for hands-on experience in the field and channelize their innovative ideas in the field of robotics.

Around 3500 students had participated in last year's workshop and this year the number is expected to increase. The workshop introduces the students to the world of robotics and helps them explore this upcoming field of science. A large number of students are also expected to participate in Robowars - an event part of Kshitij that deals with international robotics challenge.
The event sees participation of large number of students from IITs and from other institutes like -
On the other hand, the event at a larger scale saw the participation of more than 70,000 students hailing from 1400 different colleges of India last year. The event had huge prize money to offer, worth more than Rs. 65 lakhs. As a part of the fest, Kshitij will also host the IIT Kharagpur Global Model United Nations Conference 2017.

This mega event comprises several events like workshops, exhibitions and guest lectures. As a part of the event, several celebrated guests hailing from cross sections of the society will join the event including:
