The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test or NEET 2017 took place in a rigid manner on May 7, 2017. The CBSE had issued strict instructions to the candidates for the examination. However, there were some irregularities in conducting the examination smoothly. Hundreds of students and parents in Telangana protested at the examination centre for three hours. The reason was their children received Hindi and English medium question paper instead of Telugu medium.

The incident took place at St. Peter’s Central Public School, Warangal. Around 122 students who opted for NEET in Telugu medium received English and Hindi medium question paper. The students were shocked after seeing the question paper. The authorities did not change the question paper and directed the students to continue with the English medium question paper. These students did not perform well in the examination as they faced difficulty in understanding the questions.

On the other hand, parents and students were also anguished against the strict dress code. Few students were asked to change the dress. Parents rushed to the nearest cloth stores to get a new dress and tension prevailed in most of the examination centres. Most of the parents alleged that their children did not perform well in the examination after being subjected to such humiliation.
