Telangana: B.Ed First Phase Seat Allotment Concluded - 9,887 Seats Filled
The candidates who cleared the B.Ed First Phase Seat Allotment have to report to the prescribed colleges on September 22, 2016. The academic session for the 1st year students will commence from the same day.
The first phase of the seat allotment for B.Ed course was concluded on September 14, 2016. The government has conducted TS EDCET 2016 examination for the admission to B.Ed in various colleges across Telangana. There are 184 colleges in the state which offer 15,550 seats. Out of them, 12,532 seats come under convenor quota. A total number of 9,887 seats have been filled in the initial phase of counselling. The remaining 2,645 seats will be filled through the second allotment. The date of the second seat allotment will be announced soon.

The candidates have to report in the prescribed colleges on September 22, 2016. The academic session for the first year students will commence from the same day. The students need to carry original certificates and allotment letters while reporting at the college.
In Telangana, B.Ed course has received a tremendous response in 2016. A total number of 21,937 candidates had given options through web counselling out of which 9,887 seats have been allotted.

On the other hand, the D.Ed aspirants of Telangana are disappointed with the decision of Higher Education Department which scrapped DEECET 2016 examination. The notification will be issued in 2017 now.
