Telangana Government Implements Semester System in Degree Colleges
The last working day for the first semester is November 14, 2016.
The Government of Telangana has implemented semester system in all the government and aided degree colleges across various states of Telangana. Mr. Papi Reddy, Chairman of Higher Education, said that the government implemented Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) for all the UG courses. He met the vice-chancellors of all the universities and discussed the implementation of CBCS. Previously, the examination was conducted once a year.

This year, the first semester examination for the first year students will commence from November 24, 2016. Practical examinations will be conducted from November 15, 2016. The last working day for the first semester is November 14, 2016.
This year, there will be only one internal examination in the first semester as the online admission process concluded lately. The students will have Dausera holidays from October 2 to October 16, 2016. During these holidays supplementary exams will be conducted for the students who failed in exams in the previous academic years.

The students must have a minimum of 75% attendance to appear for the examinations. Students who fail to maintain minimum attendance will not be allowed to write the exams.
