Telangana Government to Provide ‘Stree Nidhi’ Scholarships to Intermediate Students
Under this scheme, a sum of Rs. 2,500 will be given for selected students for two years.
The Government of Telangana has issued notification for the ‘Stree Nidhi’ scholarships. These scholarships are given to poor girls who are pursuing Intermediate at various junior colleges across Telangana. The students who completed Class 10 in government schools will have a chance to acquire this scheme. The parents of these students must be members of Self Help Groups (SHGs). The students can apply for scholarships on or before August 26, 2016. The applications have to be submitted in District Welfare Office.

Under this scheme, a sum of Rs. 2,500 will be given to selected students for two years. A total number of two students will be chosen under this scheme from each taluk. The selection is based on the marks that the students secured in Class 10. The students who achieved 9.8 to 10 GPA will be given preference.

A total budget of Rs. 50 lakh has been estimated for this scheme. Students have to submit the details of their parent's bank accounts along with the application. The students have to submit the applications at District Welfare Office.
