Telangana Government to Relaunch ‘Mana TV’, An Educational Channel for the Students
The IT Minister of Telangana, Mr. KT Rama Rao said that the revived channel would mainly focus on various skills.
The Government of Telangana has taken a decision to revamp the State-owned educational channel ‘Mana Tv’. The idea is to introduce digital technology and provide ‘learning skills, framing and youth’ content to the students. The channel will be aired soon.
The IT Minister of Telangana, Mr. KT Rama Rao said that the revived channel would mainly focus on various skills particularly communication skills which would enable the students to secure employment.

He mentioned that the ministry had already negotiated with ISRO officials and requested them to upgrade the channel. The channel will be upgraded from KU band to C band for digital transmission. The government is planning to place the channel in the mainstream broadcast along with the other popular TV channels.

The minister also mentioned that the name of the channel would be changed, and the ministry is searching for a catchy title. For this purpose, the ministry is going to conduct a competition. The students can send catchy names and design logos for the channel. The best name and logo will be awarded Rs. 5000. For more details, the students can visit the office website of the Ministry.
