Telangana Govt. Signs MoU with ISRO to Promote Education
Through this agreement, ISRO's DECU would develop the content for MANA TV by using Satcom, so that it reaches the entire population of the state.
The government of Telangana has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) to improve services of MANA TV, an educational channel for students in Telangana. The MoU was signed between the Department of Information Technology, Electronics & Communication of the state government and ISRO’s Development & Education Communication Unit (DECU).

Through this agreement, DECU would develop the content for MANA TV by using Satcom, so that it reaches the entire population of the state. Director of DECU, Mr. Virendra Kumar appreciated the efforts of the government which has taken the initiative to use space technology.
Mr. KT Rama Rao, IT Minister, Telangana said that the channel would start coaching classes for Group II services examination of Telangana Public Service Commission (TPSC) from October 1, 2016. He mentioned that the channel would telecast a four-hour programme regularly for the candidates preparing for the examination.

The minister further added that the ministry is consistently working to develop the services of MANA TV so that it reaches each and every household. He announced that a total number of 6,000 schools across the state would launch digital classes from October 14, 2016, with the help of ISRO.
