Telangana School Holiday on 3 September 2024: The administration units of various districts in Telangana are likely to declare holidays in the schools of all classes for September 3, 2024, as well, due to excessive rainfall in the region. Initially, authorities announced to shut schools on September 2 due to heavy rainfall, however, it is expected that educational institutes will remain closed for the next couple of days. This decision follows a forecast of heavy rains and the issuance of yellow and red alerts in various districts of the state by the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The decision for the announcement of the school holiday is awaited from the District Collectors.

The closure applies to all schools, including those under government, aided, and private management. This measure is a precautionary step to safeguard students amid the anticipated severe weather conditions. IMD has declared a yellow alert for various districts of Telangana- Adilabad, Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagital, Sangareddy, Medak, Kamareddy.

According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Light to Moderate Rain or Thundershowers are very likely to occur in many places over Telangana. The state government has opened a control room at the state Secretariat to monitor the situation closely.
